David Ca Parrish added 4 new photos — feeling thankful at Hoosier Pass, Continental Divide.
I
think I knew, all along, since leaving Wilkerson Pass, that Alma would
not be the final destination. Past Alma on 9, is a little ski resort,
called Breckenridge. To be honest, I have never been to a ski resort
town when there was not snow. I was curious. As we passed the
Continental Divide, I knew there was no turning back and Breckenridge
would be the last stop, before turning around. I also knew I would have
to stop there in the way back to get some pictures.
My thought was,
since I am traveling in my home, I could find a quiet spot in
Breckenridge and stay over night and head back to Colorado Springs in
the morning. Wow! Wrong! For there being no snow on the ground that
place was hopping with people. I went down the main drag and people
everywhere. I did find a spot to take Lil' Girl out near an overflowing
river. Most places I saw had signs posted for no over night parking. I
ended up not taking any pictures in Breckenridge due to my arm hurting.
So we headed back. Since I did not start this adventure until after
noon, I wanted to get back before dark. We landed back in Colorado
Springs around 7 or 7:30.
Migraine is still hanging on. Cold sores
do not hurt as much. My thumb is still throbbing and now my arm hurts
to. The adventure was well worth it though.
